Donations

Alright. So, the business plan of Viirin Softworks is the most beautiful one we can think of. We daresay it is the perfect combination of democracy, capitalism, and transparency. Payment plan is on the bottom of the page.

The image below was the first idea of the site's image, though we're clearly not using that right now. We might later. Depends on what users say after we incorporate some forums (which the RP needs anyhow).

Look below. See where it says "Azure Wyrm (Web)"? That is just that game. See the progress bars? That requires some explanation.

The first one is mostly filled, and says how many current votes are on that game addition. More can be added after being suggested by employees or players (as long as the suggestion/s fit the theme of the game). Anyway.

See the price listing next to "Hyena"? Well that's an example of the estimated cost to add that feature, and how much was given so far (that's what fills the bar). It goes into the company's "enhancements" account and doesn't get used until something is paid for in full.

What are the four important parts of this page? Lets break it down for you in another way:

Targeted Donations: Most important of the four. We will put up every enhancement, change, and addition for every game, graphic novel, and comic (from now on I'll just say "game") and users can donate through the Paypal donate button (not yet implimented). If you want your donated money to go to a certain addition, say "Bird of Paradise", then it's your money! Who are we to say how it's used? So it goes towards the estimated cost. If no one else wants that addition and votes all point to something else, well, the MONEY points towards what YOU want. So we work on your thing instead.

Estimated Cost: We can do our best to keep costs low, and donated artwork always decreases cost significantly (work donation contract will be uploaded later), possibly eliminating cost altogether. Sometimes it costs more than expected for something, this is normal (right?). But we will do our best to figure out how much something will cost before we even touch it, and report that on each item in each list.

Votes: Pot Luck donated funds are dictated by Votes. We have that money go into a database or something so we know how much money is able to be used in what game, and votes say how it is split up. If something is popular and funds are close to paying for it, then we cap it off. If there is an even amount of votes in a lot of stuff, then we split it evenly into those thingies, whatever they are.

Pot Luck: "Pot Luck" donations are either donations to a certain game, or to the company as a whole. Donations to the company as a whole initially pays for web costs (free for now) and employee salaries, then new games and additions to existing ones, depending on what the Votes tell us to do.

Payments

The income plan of most other game companies annoys us. Very few of them inspire or impress us. So we're going with those... to a point. We can do better. Judge for yourself whether we succeeded or not.

There are different things in certain games that you can pay for- but almost nothing in ANY of our games will cost more than a single Coin. We're going to SERIOUSLY try to never have to increase the Coin's cost. We'll let our fans know far before we do, if ever- who knows, maybe someone will find a way around it and if it theoretically makes sense...

Moving along. Say you want to increase the rarity of a minigame's reward. That costs a Coin. You can always use multiple Coins to enhance the reward to that game's maximum- but don't think it isn't possible to get the rarest reward without paying for it. Just you can use a Coin to not worry about the random reward's rarity or to get multiple of them if you qualify.

Another type of game we're going to do has to do with Azure Wyrm. You can 'pollinate' other players- and don't have to ask to be "friended" or "neighbored" or something- you can just click on the player's name and then see the games they play, and if they also play Azure Wyrm's web version, then you can pollinate them. Don't worry about the annoyances of social networking gaming sites. (None of this yet implimented)

Pollination helps to "Unlock" a certain ability for that player's slime (the one you chose to pollinate) but only a little. To unlock the ability fully, the progress bar has to be filled. Wanna just be patient? Or would you like to jam in a Coin to turn your pollination from 1% to 20%. Maybe not bother with other people and just shove a few coins in to fully unlock something right now, dammit!

Again, don't think that just because it costs money you can't get it for free. Yes you can. That's why you can have multiple characters- so you can sacrifice one or more of them, or at least the eggs they'll hatch from- to your other, active slime/s. That'll help grant that egg's unlocks really quickly so you don't need to spend money to begin with.

You only pay us if you want to.

Even with special, limited time content.
