He looks up the incline above the road and notices a mountain goat staring at him, wondering what he's doing. The scientist picks up another jar, labeled "DRA71T" and throws the jar at the goat, who doesn't flinch.

When the jar labeled DRA71T hit something hard but at the same time soft as it made a muffled thud before smashing on the road. The slime carefully crawled up to the beast, being cautious of the glass. The goat snorted, sniffing the slime before it walked away after the car was gone. The slime followed the goat which wandered further off the rocky road. The slime followed it but soon fell down a small ditch which marked the end of the road for cars. It got stuck at the bottom where on both sides a wall of dirt blocked its path. The slime attempted to climb the dirt wall but couldn't find an inclined spot to make it easier. So instead of getting out the slime wondered south down the inclined road, still stuck in the ditch which ran alongside the road. Occasionally it tried again to free itself from the ditch but the walls stayed level with their height.

@Dragonhatchling: As you continue along a path defined by the shape of the ditch, you come across a small stream. It has flooded, though slightly, very recently. Some of the worms that were living in the earth have come up to the surface and are flopping around, trying to find a dry hole.

The slime continued down its path, at each probable spot it tried to get out. Soon DRA71T heard what sounded like water rushing. The slime abandoned the wall climbing gimmick and headed toward the water. It wasn't much but maybe the ground here was soft enough to get out of the still enclosed area. Worms crawled about around the slime, when one touched the slime it was engulfed. Soon followed by a few more. The slime moved on and soon waded through the water, slowly so it wouldn't wipe part of it away. Once through the shallow part of the stream the slime climbed over a rock and up part of the wall. The top was in sight, the slime tried harder to reach the top. Even on the rock the slime wasn't tall enough to get out. Crawling back down DRA71T searched the ground for a hole big enough to get out of the ditch.

DRA71T moved on, tired of having worms around the slime. It went south since north or south was the only direction it could go. A mud puddle caused the slime to get stuck for a moment before freeing itself. The worms didn't fill him up very well and there went many left, most of them had found a dry hole to crawl into. The slime traveled on down the ditch searching for hard ground and a way out. Rocks started lining the dirt walls on either side, a small snake was wedge between two rocks. The slime moved over to where it heard hissing, it squeezed into a crack where the snake was hidden. The snake lashed out from the small cave-like area where the two rocks created the space. DRA71T stopped, letting the snake's head come at it. The snake's head slid into the slime followed by the body. It took a while to get the whole snake inside but once done the slime squeezed out of the crack and back into the ditch. It could feel that a few rocks made an incline that seemed to lead upward far enough to get out. Climbing carefully on the rocks it slimmed up until the incline was too steep. One precariously perched rock was in DRA71T's way.

DRA71T took it's time searching for different ways up this rock area and out of the ditch. None were found that weren't worse than the precariously perched rock. The slime moved toward the rock, moving behind it for a moment to see if it was study enough to try climbing on. It seemed study enough. The slime moved back out in front of the rock to see how large it was. It was twice the size of DRA71T and a steeper incline not DRA71T was used to. The slime started to climb though and halfway up heard what sounded like some high pitched shrill. DRA71T moved faster but the shrill was closer, the slime turned around just in time to see a hawk snatch it up. DRA71T let the hawk carry it back over the road for a moment before the bird turned and went to land in a tree. An empty nest was wedged between two branches. The hawk landed, gripping DRA71T in one claw. The slime then attacked the hawk, causing it to free the slime. The slime wondered if it was small enough for food but decided against it. DRA71T continued to attack the large bird until it flew away with an angry shrill. After making sure the bird was gone the slime moved to the edge of the branch, spotting another slime on a hill with bugs. Who? DRA71T wondered, trying to find a way down without landing on the slime below it.

@DRA71T: (Unlocked blueprints: Wyrm silhouette, scales, Tan, skin, grow additional 5 inches)
A gust of wind picked up, lifting up the limbs of the leafy tree. This startled DRA71T, but just enough to make it back up. It felt something sticky, and noticed it was partially caught in a spider’s web, the spider retreating into an attached curled leaf.

DRA71T tried to move forward again as the wind continued to blow. With the combination of the wind and the sticky atached to the slime it didn't get any further. A smaller leaf blew oddly behind DRA71T though and the slime turned to investigate, further sticking itself into the spider web. The leaf stayed shut for a moment when the slime touched it but when the slime started eating the leaf a spider frantically tried crawling out. Too late though. By the time the spider had gotten a leg out most of it was inside DRA71T. After, the slime yanked hard on its body that was stuck, freeing itself from the web. Only then did it notice it had scales like the snake it ate. Taking another look at itself, DRA71T then decided to try and climb down the tree. Moving over to the trunk it searched the lesser drop for a resting place if it was needed.

@DRA71T: (OOC: Unlock: Create spiderweb)
DRA71T moved down the tree clumsily, no longer sticky and able to grasp things, so it tried to use its newly formed scales to grasp the bark of the tree. There was a small rustling below it, but the scaley slime had to concentrate on climbing down and couldn't afford to look at it. Close by, DRA71T could hear the buzzing of small, annoying insects.

DRA71T was almost down the tree when it bumped into something roundish. A squished thud came from below followed by the sound of angry bees. The slime hurried a bit more, trying to get down the tree before the swarm attacked. It realized a web strand was showing up where DRA71T last was. Easy catch helper? It thought, not understanding what that meant. Still making the way down the tree, DRA71T could feel pricks as a black moving mass closed in on it. The slime struggled to tell what it was holding onto and what was what. Some of the mass though got stuck on the strands of web, one by one a few bees stuck leaving little relief to the onslaught of the stings. Seeing this though gave DRA71T an idea. Moving to the left a little it jumped and tried latching onto a smaller branch below it. Landing on the branch also created a trail of three web strands behind the slime. The swarm of bees followed but some got stuck in the web. DRA71T continued this jumping tactic until the tree was covered in web strands and struggling bees. Landing on the ground, DRA71T looked back up to see its handiwork, wondering if it should eat them.

DRA71T noticed another creature nearby it and turned around fully to get a better view. The other creature changed just like DRA71T did which amused DRA71T. Friend like me? DRA71T thought, watching the creature move. DRA71T turned back to the bees closest and started to eat them, making it's way up the web it created before devouring the rest of the bees as it went. Once back up the tree, DRA71T moved to a branch that was right above 3R8-74 and stuck itself to the bottom of the branch with another web. Yes like me. DRA71T thought, getting a closer look. It lowered itself from the branch using the web like a tether. DRA71T stopped in front of 3R8-74, hanging upside down. Hi? DRA71T thought, wondering if the other slime would understand.

DRA71T swung a little as 3R8-74 poked it. DRA71T took another look at the creature and tried mimicking the sound it made. Not being able to, DRA71T rustled its scales a little, making a scratching sound in return.

8 inch slime, scaley

@DRA71T: DRA71T had no idea what the strangely shaped slime was trying to say, but it didn't seem aggressive or territorial.

@3R8-74 & DRA71T: The quiet and peaceful meeting came to an abrupt halt, as a motorcycle zoomed along the nearby mountain road, the noise from its engine easily drowning out all other sound and scaring most of the nearby animals. The slimes looking at what had made the noise showed them an easy meal: a rabbit had been run over and lay smashed in half in the middle of the road.

DRA71T watched the other creature seemingly bring food over to the spot DRA71T was in. Friend nice? DRA71T thought, releasing the web it hung from and falling to the ground. DRA71T shook it's scales again in a thank you gesture. It wasn't quiet sure of the rabbit just yet but if the other creature ate it maybe DRA71T should too.

DRA71T watched the other creature, wondering what the clicks were for. It started to eat the rabbit though so DRA71T took a piece. It didn't eat it right away but ate a little of the rabbit before shaking the scales again happily.

DRA71T watched 3R8-74 move away and wondered where it was off to. Leave? DRA71T thought, seeing 3R8-74 come back. No leave. DRA71T shook it's scales again, this time louder and faster, trying to show how happy it was that 3R8-74 hadn't left. It then noticed the dead tadpoles. DRA71T carefully took one from 3R8-74 and slowly ate it, wondering what the other creature was trying to say.

DRA71T watched 3R8-74 move away and make some kind of motion. DRA71T looked down at it's body wondering if it could make the same motion then followed 3R8-74.

@DRA71T: (Unlock: White, fur, rabbit body, Ability: grow body parts easier)
The slime DRA71T had decided to follow seemed glad that it wasn't travelling alone, but then it seemed to be startled by something in a hole. It clicked as fast as it could, but it didn't use the same clicking pattern for excitement. DRA71T had its own issues though, as it had bumped into a nearby plant that made it hurt a lot.

DRA71T followed 3R8-74 until it seemed to fall into a hole. DRA71T heard what sounded like a mad hiss followed by the clicks the other creature made. It moved to get to the edge of the hole but hit some plant that stung. DRA71T still moved to the edge of the hole though and found another snake, going for 3R8-74. DRA71T jumped down the hole and shot a web at the creature to see what it would do. But then it curled up into a ball from the pain the plant caused.

DRA71T writhed in pain from something it couldn't understand. It's scales shook weakly in response to 3R8-74's clicking. It wondered what happened to the snake but more wondered what was going on to it's body. It uncoiled itself and laid straight on the ground of the hole, looking at 3R8-74, just as confused as it was.

@DRA71T: (Unlock: bee pattern (the black & yellow), bee stinger, bee wings)
DRA71T felt a tug on its side, seeing 3R8-74 pulling out a tiny needle. When it saw that, it noticed all the other needles! So that is what was making me uncomfortable. Knowing what discomfort was now, and watching the other slime, it knew that things stuck it in can be pulled out instead of absorbed. The slime couldn't help but think about where the plant was, though. DRA71T was surprised too, how had it shot out the spiderweb? Something about that didn't seem to be an ability the spider had. Maybe it would learn how to do it at other times instead of just impulsively. What had happened to the slime it was travelling with? It absorbed part of the snake, this was easy, it could do it too. But its body had its same shape!

DRA71T looked at 3R8-74 and saw it was in the same condition. Moving over to 3R8-74, DRA71T attempted to pull out some of the spines but winced when its own caused pain again. DRA71T shook its scales violently in protest and realize a few loose ones came out. Shaking again and again, DRA71T tried to pull out some of the spines in 3R8-74 while hoping the shaking scales would distract the pain from stopping the job. DRA71T tugged and a spine came out but with a price, the spines on itself pushed themselves in more from the motion. Not work. It thought, wondering it something could help without hurting either of them.

DRA71T became worried of its friend when 3R8-74 wouldn't move much. It seemed worried also from the sounds it was making. DRA71T shook its scales hoping to show 3R8-74 that it would do its best to help. Looking around and back up the hole, DRA71T didn't find much other than more spines and a few odd shaped leaves not seen before. What? It thought, wondering if they could help.

@DRA71T: (Unlock: resist natural poison)
The poison was painful, but didn't cause painful paralyzation but half as fast as it did to the other slime. DRA71T had no idea why, but guessed it had eaten something that the other slime didn't. The oddly shaped leaves were indeed curious, but looked brittle and brown. They had a strong, but soothing smell, so they must be helpful. The poisonous needles were in too deep to pull out now. It must be worse for the other slime!

((no time to post right now...probably will later. so slime won't die from poison and how'd viirin know I was thinking of pine needles?))

@Dragonhatchling: Heh heh. I figured that's what you were goin' for. Plus, with something that's happening soon (as soon as I fix what I said to you forest guys) you'll see why that species is the absolute best choice of plant to absorb.

DRA71T turned its attention from the odd leaves to 3R8-74. It seemed better than before and that made DRA71T less concerned. It shook its scales in a reply and noticed it had wings, odd wings that were nearly transparent. Where from? DRA71T thought, moving the wings. It moved around to face where 3R8-74 was and followed the other creature down the hole more before stopping when DRA71T realized its friend was going to sleep.

DRA71T wondered what 3R8-74 was carrying on about. Its clicking usually meant good things but the snapping of the other odd parts made DRA71T think of it more as a warning. Shaking its scales loudly so they could be heard over the clicking, DRA71T wondered over to where 3R8-74 was. It then saw another snake. Bad! Bad! It thought, turning to get to the side of the snake. With scales still shaking, DRA71T watched the snake and 3R8-74 to see who attack what first.

DRA71T watched the snake attack 3R8-74. It thought about helping but saw that its friend had everything under control. When 3R8-74 moved away, DRA71T saw a scale from the snake that had dropped. It quickly moved and absorbed it wondering what 3R8-74 was going to do with the rest of the snake.

@DRA71T: The pain from the poison had nearly finished spreading, affecting DRA71T's body now, making any movement almost too difficult. Now that its friend was safe, its own safety was the priority! Its newly formed wings had not yet been paralyzed, though pain was there too. Would the scented leaves it found help? It didn't know, but it was still close enough to eat if it tried.

DRA71T felt extremly latharjeck for a moment as it realized what was going on. Bad It thought as warning signs became apparent. The poison was still in it and that didn't do any good for 3R8-74 when the other creature was affected. Not wanting to be paralyzed as badly as its friend, DRA71T looked back at the old brown leaves. Help? It thought, knowing they may be the only chance it had before not being able to move at all. DRA71T slowly moved closer before stopping just short of the leaves, it reached and missed. Trying again, harder this time, it felt the brittle leaf under its scales. Absorbing the leaf it lay there unable to move anymore.

@DRA71T: (Unlocked: pine needles, stinging nettle poison, rattlesnake rattle, pine scent, grow 2 inches)
The pain from the poison began to lessen in 3R8-74's body, but it felt as though it was happening on its own, without any help from the pine needles. It still hurt, but it was slowly feeling better all over, the poison curing itself. The early night began to darken more, and DRA71T's idea to sleep might have been a good one. New sounds, few and far away, began to be heard, and tiny glowing things started to appear. Some looked stuck in the sky, but a couple other ones seem to be much closer, quietly dancing around the trees and near the ground. A painfully high pitched screech sounded overhead, but 3R8-74 didn't see what it was.

RA71T looked around some more after it heard a scream. All that was there was ting glowing orbs floating around DRA71T's head area. The slime shook its scales trying both to wake 3R8-74 and get the orbs away from itself. DRA71T started to think of possible things the sound could have been. Was it the large bird that tried to eat it before? Or something more dangerous? It moved slowly after the pain from the poison subsided for a few minutes. No sign of any giant dangerous creatures around here yet. Just more brittle leaves and those flying orbs DRA71T didn't want around its head anymore.

@DRA71T: The pain from the poison finally gone, and having taken a short nap, DRA71T felt a little recharged. Whatever had made the screech was nowhere to be seen. Some of the tiny dancing lights DRA71T was watching floated lower and closer, finally within range. A couple of them landed on the ground nearby, finally revealing that the lights are actually bugs. There were huge numbers of them, but most in midair; but they'd have to land eventually. Something a half dozen feet away moved slowly, but DRA71T could still tell it was there.

DRA71T turned to see 3R8-74 making the same sound it had. Shaking it's scales in return, DRA71T watched the area but kept looking back at itself. An odd shape was toward it's back. It concentrated and found the shape rattled but noticed the sound was similar to the scales shaking. The slime responded again to movement ahead of it by rattling the new part and it's scales, hoping to get the bugs away and whatever moved farther off. At the sound the bugs next to DRA71T flew up but landed on the slime, making it blink and glow at different times.

@DRA71T: The skunk had wandered farther away, but it seemed to have done it on its own. DRA71T wondered if maybe rattlesnakes and skunks are awake at different times, so they don't know what to do about each other? Either way, the little glowing bugs seemed to land all over the scaley slime, not to bother it, but to try and climb all over each other. What was happening? The pretty dancing lights weren't so pretty anymore, they were really starting to get obnoxious.

@DRA71T: The glowing bugs all over the scaley slime's face and body were so distracting that it almost didn't notice the screeching above again. This time DRA71T got a glimpse of what it was, illuminated by insects and the moon. It was a strange-looking flying creature, flying back and forth high above the ground, looking for moths to eat.

KHEDIVE REX

Name: Bosque
Bonus DNA: Hummingbird.
Starting location: Forest.
Description: A small, fist-sized clear slime.
Equipment: ...

The lead scientist was driving home with three canisters of engineered slime, drunk out of his mind.
He drove at speeds much higher than would seem logical or safe, caring only for the feeling he got as he quickly swerved to keep from going over the road whenever it bent.
Ahead, he saw a stop sign that appeared to have been hit with rocks or damaged in some other similar way. He picked one of the canisters out of a backpack he had on the passenger seat, looked at it in disgust, grunted an apathetic 'pssh', and threw the canister at the sign, where the glass shattered upon impact.
Not entertained sufficiently, he picked up another one and tried to throw it at a boulder sticking out of the small cliff face on the opposite side of the road as the sign, but he dropped it due to a huge belch that almost made him sick. The container fell on the road and broke on the asphalt; apparently it wasn't as durable as it seemed.
The final canister fell out of the truck on its own when the scientist scraped the side of the truck against a large tree, which ripped the passenger door off. With nothing to hold the canister on the seat, it fell out and rolled slightly down the hill before breaking on a sharp rock.

Rough, innert and inorganic. The feelings of the smooth, cool, inorganic container were much preferable to the feelings of the big space it had discovered. But feeling was only rough and inorganic in one direction, and there was so much more direction now. So it felt forward, and then more forward; some might have said it was pensively assessing its surroundings. Really it was only curious to find the edge of the new cage. But it never quite came, even as the feeling of rough, innert, inorganic gave way to the feelings of sandy, loose and moist. It was a better cage. The best cage yet.

@Bosque: The moistness of the ground quickly increased, as the slime found that it was next to a small body of water that had sat undisturbed for quite some time. Undisturbed by anything other than the large number of small flying things bumping into it every second, of course. The water was cool, but felt disgusting, as though it had its own skin, and the bottom of the shallow water felt even slimier than itself.

It waded into the cool slimy place, eagerly. It was organic! Everything! The strange film on the slimy pool, the millions of unbeleivably small things darting past each other in that cool rippling place and, most interesting of all, six tiny, almost unnoticable points of pressure delicately alighting on Bosque's own surface. On instinct Bosque grasped the six little points and drew them closer to his center, only to discover that they were all attached to something light and crisp and struggling. The thing submerged into Bosque, and then another four followed suit. All of them landing so happy and thoughtless, Bosque wondered if they were throwing themselves to him on purpose. Such kind creations. Such wonderful organics!

Bosque basked in the basin of slimy water and rippled with the artifical tide. Something was ... happening, to him. And all the little flying things wanted to be a part of it.

Unlocked: Mosquito. Starting to change in relation to Hummingbird or Mosquito?

@Bosque: The gentle ripple of the water suddenly got a ripple much bigger than the others it had been responding to, the entire slime submerged momentarily by a splash. Barely a second later, the paw of some creature landed right in the middle of the slime, injuring it. Before the slime could act in defense, the creature was gone.

I'm gonna grow some hummingbird traits. I want the wings, in particular the whole perpetually flapping hover in mid air maneuvorability thing.

Something had tried to pop Bosque. It was heavy and bulbous and sharp and for the first time Bosque felt trepidation about his newest cage. Apparently the world was not all small oraganic treats landing happily up Bosque's rippling palette. Dangers roamed the ground in equal quantity and comparable tenacity to the delights.

The trepidation stayed as the ferocity of the rippling grew. Bosque felt hard protrusions forming on his back, spreading out and into the cool air above him. The compulsion arrived to bat the air with these new, strange additions and so Bosque did, once, curiously. Only to do it again. And again. The frequency of the beats rose and rose until bosque was just wildly shaking them, manic and ecstatic. Bosque didn't know where the walls of the cage were anymore, he couldn't feel the solid sandy surface beneath him. There was just the buffet of cool breezes like soft cold caresses in the dark. And then the impact of something cragged and splintered. And then the impact of another very solid organic.

Bosque recoiled away in darkness, trying to right himself in a world where gravity is relative and obstacles invisibly litter every direction. Bosque was, understandably, less than successful.

Spinning wildly in darkness Bosque bounced between obstacle after obstacle in a mad dive that never seemed to end. An organic wall would hit him from one direction, leaving tiny splinters in his side, and inorganic wall would hit him from the next as he backed away, splattiner his wings with dirt of mud. Finally Bosque shook and hovered right into a net, or something that felt like a net. It was little inorganic strings woven together, poorly, filled with holes small enough for a tiny creature to work between them, but not quite big enough for Bosque to pass. So he shook his wings hard, and discovered that the little inorganic strings liked him. They stuck to him, grasping for him desperately and he tried to part himself. So he shook his wings again and discovered that they were also quite strong little strings.

He continued to shake his wings but to little effect, it was just habit now. Instead Bosque started wondering what the little needles erupting out of his form were. They made a perfet line around half his circular body, running right between where his wings had grown. Bosque also wondered what those eight pin points of pressure were doing on top of him. He considerd it for a moment, before sucking something large and hairy right to his center.

All that through, Bosque wondered if there was someway to predict where the obstacles would be, should he manage to escape the little net. No use leaving it only to fall into another one. He needed something that would let him feel the world before it was next to him. Something to let him know what was coming...

I actually didn't see the first post at the top of the page until today! I guess it had something to do with the page breaking (started page 2) and I didn't see it. My bad! You said 'hairy' for the spider, which I'd think of tarantula, but they don't use webs to catch prey. Eight legs I can tell, and hairy... I got me an idea. Was hoping someone would want eyes soon, and so glad you chose spider. I was planning on throwing one at you soon anyway. Unlocked: spider eyes, web

@Bosque: The creature it consumed was a big one. So big, in fact, that it was able to learn how to replicate some of its own body, as well as figure out what the strings were.

Bosque struggled once more against the netting holding him in place, to no avail. The spines finished forming around him, and they contorted the weave but did not tear it. Again, bosque turned his attention to the very serious issue of avoiding nets such as these in the future.

And then the world moved backwards a couple inches. Or possibly he moved forward. There was an arch to Bosque he'd never felt before and an issue of balance he'd never considered. It was as though the front of him felt a stronger urge to fall then the rest. And then there was the searing pain. There were holes opening on him! The membrane holding him together sizzled away leaving eight perfect holes and blinding white agony. Bosque struggled harder than he knew he could. Pain mixed with fear as new sensations rushed through his newly exposed form. There were things growing in him. Not out of him! IN HIM!

Another violent shake and Bosque felt himslef falling, he was too startled to care. Little walls erected themselves inside the holes that had burned through him and the white faded and dimmed and blossomed into other colors, so many other colors. Greens mixed with blues mixed with reds in a symphony of something that was certainly not tactile, not any sensation he'd ever known. And quickly it was all giving way to brown, the dark nutty pigments seizing the rest of the wolrd from him.

An impact shook Bosque. He could feel the brown. It was the same thing he'd began on, before those strange limbs sprouted from him and he'd flown into the net. He was on ground. Solid, inorganic, lifeless, meaningless ground. He looked around and saw spires of the brown jutting out of the ground, littered with green. And when he looked up he saw little red feathers
stuck to a little white nest up at the top of the tallest spire. It took a moment to realize they were his, pulled from his wings in the frenzy of change. He wanted them back.

His right wing was hurt, shaking it didn't do as much, but Bosque still parted himself from the brown and moved right into the blue. His new forward protrusion didn't help him balance, but a few barel rolls later he had the basic gist of getting around and he'd even begun to figure out what colors he could pass through and which would stop him. After a minute or two of devoted practise, he'd succeeded in bringing himself unstably before the nest that had caught him. He stared at the feathers for a moment, trying to conclude how best to stick them back into place...

Six character codename: B1nMaT
Starting location: Forest (yum, wolves!)
Appearance: Size (currently just a handful!) clear slime
Resistances: none

Attacks: Slap, Smother

The assistant scientist gets halfway up the mountain road. It is technically in a forest, though this specific location is rather sparse of greenery because of the road. He picks up a stick he easily finds, and tries to use the jar labeled "B1nMaT" as a baseball, but misses and the jar rolls down the hill, cracking and breaking along the sharp rocks as it rolls.

B1nMaT bounces down the hill and ends up all over a mouses home. Being it, it absorbed a female mouse and some other mice. After clearing out the mice den, it moves on to other food.

B1nMaT slowly came upon another mice den and preceded to eat 6 mice. it became tired and settled in the mice former home to recharge.

@ B1nMaT: OOC: (Unlock: dragon silhouette, claws, rodent tail, fur, grow 5 inches)
After B1nMaT had begun eating the family of mice, the remainder of the family had begun to understand what was happening and began to protect each other by biting the slime. It was consuming them too quickly, however, and was regenerating faster than damage was being done, though it was not slow by any means. As one mouse was consumed after another, less damage was dealt at a time due to less attackers, until all that remained was a hole occupied by a completely satiated slime. Shortly after deciding to rest, a rustling sound outside told the slime that a wind had picked up and was blowing the leaves of the trees.

((Woot!))
B1nMaT awoke to the wind and decided to see if any other things had landed/fallen where it could get them. As it oosed along it found a downed owlet and started to adsorbed it. As the baby bird fought for it's life B1nMaT started to grow fur. After eating the little bird it moved on.

@B1nMaT: (OOC: Unlocked blueprints: feather)
As the furry slime rolled along, it noticed a small trickle of water running down the side of the mountain. Perhaps because of the mice it ate, the slime began to feel like it had become sensitive to odor, and the water faintly smelled similar to itself.

B1nMat started to play in the water. In the water, there was a small still spot. B1nMat settled in it and found tadpoles, not knowing what else to do it started to eat some. After 3 or so it moved on, finding a dead bat, or so it thought. It settled down and started to 'eat'.

@B1nMaT: (Unlock: bat wings, bird wings)
Two odd creatures had gone to the other side of the water B1nMaT had fallen asleep near, the weird clicking sound one of them made had woken it up. The other thing, whatever it was, looked like itself, but only slightly, since it was now covered in scales. They had wandered off a little down the hill, their tracks showing the direction they went. Maybe they could be caught up to? Then again, there were some bugs just up the hill to devour. The slime's instincts told it to eat more things, but its mind suggested it go with the others.

Player Name: Halox

Starting location: ( Desert)
Appearance: Size (currently just a handful!) skin type slime. Clear slime.

The now fired janitor is on his way home, into the middle of a desert. He looks at the specimen jar, which is marked "halox9". He thinks about keeping the thing and feeding it cleaning chemicals and dirty mop water out of spite for being fired, but sees a road sign and can't help himself.
He throws the jar at the sign, but it only cracks. Once it hits the ground though, the jar breaks in half.

The slime that was Halox9 was nice and comfortable in its specimen jar until suddenly the jar was thrown at a sign. Halox9 felt the jar hit the sign and oxygen start leaking in to the jar before the jar hit the ground and broke in half exposing it to the world that was too big for it to comprehend as it was just a handful of slime. Not knowing where it was going the slime started moving towards the road where unbeknownst to it there was a desert scorpion of the species Hadrurus arizonensis also known as the giant desert hairy scorpion that had been half crushed by the janitor’s vehicle. The slime slowly moved toward the scorpion as the scorpion was trying to get up. The slime moved on top of the Scorpion and sensed that the scorpion was dying so Halox9 fulfilled it programming and absorbed the scorpion.
(( Here's a link to the scorpion I'm talking about in case you need it. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Giant_desert_hairy_scorpion ))

@Halox: You begin to feel vibrations in the ground coming towards you, but it is still far off enough to be safe for now. The scorpion you are consuming has too little strength to fight back, and you successfully absorb its genetic information and biomass. After gaining this new information, since the creature was smaller than yourself, you begin to feel hungry.

After absorbing the scorpion Halox9 felt vibrations coming from the ground but he also felt something else something new it decided to call this new feeling hunger. Now that it had decided to call this felling hunger it tried to figure out with it’s not yet fully developed brain how to solve this problem that it called hunger. Halox9 moved towards the other side of the road searching for more to absorb. There he found some grubs and started to absorb them.

@Halox9: OOC: (After thinking about the size ratio between you and the scorpion. Additionally unlock: scorpion tail, grow additional inch)
Shortly after feeling the ground vibrations, a large black truck rumbled along the desert road, small amounts of garbage flying out of the back due to excessive tailwind. The wind from the vehicle blew against Halox9, the smell of vehicle exhaust permeated his form. To add to his discomfort, a cloud moved away from the sun, the heat of the desert beginning to show itself.

After the black truck went by Halox9 started to examine the garbage that had fallen out of the truck. In the garbage it found five cockroaches and quickly absorbed four of them when all of a sudden a rat ran out of a bag of garbage to snatch the last cockroach right as Halox9 was about to absorb it. It swiftly moved toward the rat and slapped the cockroach out of the rat's mouth. The rat then rushed at Halox9 and tried to bite halox9’s gelatinous body but that was the last thing it ever tried to do as the slime moved the front half of its body up and hit the rat like a giant wave hitting a beach. Halox9 covered the rat completely and started to smother it to death. When the rat stopped moving around Halox9 started to absorb it lifeless carcass.

After halox9 finished absorbing the rat it went over to where the last cockroach had landed and consumed the cockroach. Halox9 searched through the rest of the garbage but didn’t find anything else to absorb so it went off in to the desert to find more to eat. After a while it found a Texas Horned Lizard also known as Phrynosoma cornutum trying to eat some red imported fire ants known also as Solenopsis invicta. The lizard did not appear to be doing too well it was covered in ants and the ants appeared to be stinging it repeatedly. The lizard suddenly keeled over and died the slime rushed over and promptly covered the lizard and the ants and started to absorb them.

The heat of the desert wore on, but the part of halox9 that was under garbage while hunting for food felt more comfortable, probably due to the shade. A slight breeze picked up nearby dust and even more desert heat, blowing against the gelatinous slime.

halox9 began to notice something strange. Though the desert heat wore on, it didn't seem to be so exhausting anymore. In fact, the heat seemed to be soothing now! Though now halox9 began to feel a new sensation that it could not name. It... felt dry inside. Maybe it could find a way to make that feeling go away. Something in its mind suggested it to do something, but it was having a little bit of trouble concentrating on what that might be.

When it finished absorbing the lizard and the ants Halox9 felt something new like it was dried out. It was trying to figure out what to do when all of a sudden it started to change in to a Texas horned lizard but instead of scales it had a white exoskeleton with horn like barbs sticking out of it and instead of a lizard tail it had a scorpion tail with a wicked red point on the end. Halox9 started to move around with its newly formed legs and found that walking like this was a much better way to get around and in the distance it could see with it new eyes some kind of spiky plant.

@halox9: The new form suited halox9 very well, dramatically increasing its resistance to the sun's powerful rays, and its color helped it blend in with the light brown desert sand. The strange spiky plant the animal noticed that the light of the sun seemed to pass through the serrated spikes, which seemed to almost be gold in color.

(( The golden Barrel cactus is what a got when I looked up golden thorns but your picture of what I assume is close up of the thorns confused me. ))
While walking towards the Spiky plants Halox9 sensed something behind it. When it looked over its shoulder it saw a four inch camel spider walking in its shadow so Halox9 hastily turned around and gobbled up the spider. When it had finished eating the spider it turned back around and started walking towards the plants again.

@halox9: (Unlocks: pedipalps, mandibles)
After consuming the wind scorpion, halox9 felt funny. It did not feel ill, but instead felt as though that animal wasn't supposed to be in that environment. Did it learn this from the other creatures in the area when it ate them? halox9 decided that it was a good thing it ate it, since it would unbalance the ecosystem if it didn't. The sun was dropping lower towards the horizon, becoming late afternoon. The sun's new angle allowed it to cast a shadow from the cactus towards the strange animal that had once been a slime, beckoning it to come closer to the plant.

@halox9: The cactus bore a comfortable shade. Some of the lower part of the plant had its thorns ripped off by some means, and was safe and cool to the touch. At the base of the cactus were some rocks approximately three times the size of halox9's new form, and between them, some funny shaped webs. Disturbing them at all caused each web's resident to come out to investigate, but seeing the size difference between them and the stinger lizard, they went back inside.

@halox9: The desert began to quickly cool, the extreme heat now starting to become equally cold.

Punk 2: Why are they still after us? *tries to catch his breath*
The other punk smiles, and lowers his arm through his jacket sleeve, holding a specimen canister.
The sound of the siren came closer, the red and blue lights flashing along the wall, nearing the corner they had ran around. Just as soon as they say the front of the cruiser, the punk with the canister threw his prize on the ground behind him, and tried to stand in an inconspicuous way. A loud crash came from behind him, and while the second punk was distracted watching the police as they quickly caught up to and passed them, the leader punk looked at what the sound was- he had thrown the canister down a flood drain opening!

@DAEMON: The buzzing flies bump themselves into DAEMON and the sewer pipes stupidly and repeatedly. The ones that bump into DAEMON are partially stuck into its sticky form; so many of them doing it making movement nearly impossible. However, the flies seem more concentrated further on, hovering around something small and rancid, half smashed. A small amount of waning sunlight illuminated whatever it was. Of what the slime could tell, it looked like a fruit of some kind.

DAEMON sat in the murky, dark sewer system of a local suburban town. He looked around, trying to figure out what it was he needed to do. A few flies whizzed past him, hovering over the slime that flowed through the concrete tubes and DAEMON followed. Then, light seeped into the tunnel and DAEMON hesitated before continuing his trek.

DAEMON observed the object, maneuvering around it to take in any possible information. The flies had landed on it and seemed to be consuming it or something and this perked DAEMON's interest. Engulfing the item into the ooze, it slowly started to disintegrate into DAeMON's mass, making him feel different. Since the flies had been distracted by the item, they were consumed with it as well.

@DAEMON: (Unlocked: yellow, black, fly wings, compound eyes)
The flies and banana peel became a perfect meal. The slime had began to notice something new afterward however; scent. The underground cement area it was in smelled absolutely awful, but that smell made it excited and hungry. The middle of the pipe had a tiny bit of water flowing along it, and though it was moldy and muddy and full of algae and garbage, it smelled like dinner was waiting upstream.

DAEMON explored his new sense, taking in the rancid and awful smell of the sewer. Although, instead of despising it and wanting to leave, he coveted it and found delight in the smell as it led him to his next meal. DAEMON started to move up the tunnel towards the source of the smell.

@DAEMON: The slime could finally tell where the light from the sunset was coming from. Straight up was another pipe going up and down, attached to the pipe it was in. There were small holes above that, and thats where the light came from. All through that pipe though, were spider webs. So many, that the flies it ate made no sense! There was also something stuck in the wall, which looked like a handle. Then another above it, and another and another. All the handles were attached at the sides... a ladder built into the wall? Maybe this was there to help get up to the other pipe.

DAEMON found where the light source had been coming from. It was a series of pipes above where he was. Making its way into the pipes, it ran into several stringy substances all over the place. They tasted different than the flies and that brought a strange curiousity to DAEMON. Once it passed through the pipes, it found a strange metal handle, and then another one above, and then another. It seemed to have formed a ladder of some sort, but DAEMON was wondering where it went.

@DAEMON: The top of the pipe was found to have a large, heavy metal top. Pushing on it, it is too heavy to try and move, and the small holes where the light came in were too small to even ooze though. DAEMON had passed through so many spider webs that some of the more aggressive spiders had become angry, and tried to bite the slime; some of the other ones simply ignored the slime and just tried to rebuild. Going this way was impossible, but there was much more to explore below.

DAEMON made a jiggling motion with its body in distress as it found it couldn't climb through the holes. Then, it realized that these strange black creatures were crawling on it and biting it. In retaliation, it absorbed the creatures and did a motion that represented happiness. The taste was much different than those flying things from earlier. A spicy taste. It made a note that these things were its favorite.

((Would it be possible if I can find a baby gator or a salamander? It doesn't have to be right away, I was just wondering.))

OOC: @zakku_uchiha: Hey! This is a fantasy RP. Since when are there alligators or crocodiles in the sewer? Hehehe, of course! How could I not?  Man, sewers are absolute treasure troves. Just imagine what people flush down there or throw down the storm drains.

@DAEMON: (Unlocked: black widow pattern, black widow venom, create spiderweb)
Something very large, at least in comparison to DAEMON, flew by below the slime, but it was too fast to get a clear image of what it was. Whatever it was, it was gone now.

@DAEMON: The bat having flown by and out of sight at least for now, something else rustled slightly in the darkness below. What it sounded like, DAEMON hadn't experienced yet, but it sounded like a small breeze blowing paper against a dried out plant of some kind. But DAEMON felt slightly sleepy, so it thought about whether to investigate or wait until morning.

The lead scientist finally arrives at the beach. He opens his car trunk and puts two jars in a small duffel bag, but the zipper is broken and won't close all the way. He sees the labels as he puts them in- "WICKED" and "RAWR36". As he's walking in the sand towards the pier, he sees a few seagulls pecking at something in a trash can. He isn't carrying the bag carefully, and one of the specimen jars falls out. Annoyed, he picks it up and reads the label "WICKED", and throws it at the seagulls. He hears a shattering sound, but didn't care enough to see how badly the jar broke.

WICKED is in the middle of the seagulls, beaks pecking about around the slime. Something near the slime, in the field of debris and waste, had attracting the winged creatures. One of the animals pecked at WICKED, the slime wrapping around the beak of the animal. Snapping it's beak, the bird thrashed as the translucent slime engulfed it's beak. Bit by bit, the substance began to engulf the creature. Starting with it's beak, and then it's entire head. The other seagulls, startled, flapped their wings and departed, leaving the victim of their flock to die. WICKED had finally engulfed the seagull, which lost consciousness after having been unable to breath. Dissolving the winged creature, WICKED slowly dragged itself closer to the waters that crashed onto the shore.
((Killing the seagull isn't too much for a basic slime to do, is it?))

WICKED finally reached the crashing tides, being pulled into the water by the waves. The slime was rather dense, so it sank to the bottom, pulling itself over seashells and pebbles. One small creature crossed it's path. A little thing with two claws and many legs. WICKED attempted to avoid the armored crustacean, and successfully did so, continuing to roll along until a fish began to bother it. The fish was very small, no larger than a human's thumb, but it was still damaging to WICKED, who decided to engulf it. Awkwardly enough, after having engulfed its Eyes and mouth, the fish still moved about, able to breathe. Wicked began to roll away, the fish sticking out of the mass of slime.

@WICKED: (Unlocked blueprints: wyvern silhouette, feathers, bird wings, white, gray, grow additional 5 inches)
Small waves crashed along the shore, quickly becoming gentle spills that moisturized the hot sand; thus cooling it. Small bubbles appeared in the re-moisturized sand as the sand crabs hiding under the surface exhaled large bubbles, clearing the way to the surface. Large bundles of kelp had washed ashore with the most recent wave, attracting flies. Under the shallow water, small crabs and fish hunted for meals in sparse population. A used bottle of vehicle oil had been thrown away in the nearby sand, tiny amounts of the dangerous black liquid floating in the water. Due to lack of proper treatment of the shore and made slightly worse by the oil, less algae had grown; leaving the fish to nibble at whatever new item was introduced to their habitat in hopes it might be food. As WICKED went deeper in the ocean, it felt the fish sticking out of it to depressurize, the depth having a slightly increasing impact on it.

WICKED slowly rolled deeper into the water, the community of ocean life nibbling about, avoiding the black fluid that coated a portion of the water's surface. Taking example from the other life forms, WICKED avoided the oil. It finished absorbing the fish that stuck out of it, noticing it had gotten larger. The blob neared a colorful campus of coral, noticing the fish nibbling about there as well. It sank down, resting on coral, when it decided to absorb a small fish that passed by. When it extended to engulf the fish, however, an eel came to eat it, WICKED wrapping around the eel's head instead. The blob was unsure if it could absorb such a large creature, but managed to, absorbing the eel and hiding in some coral to rest.

WICKED rested, attempting to regain the energy it used in absorbing the food. It didn't change its structure, however, remaining a translucent blob of matter. The slime did enjoy the rest, though, now safe. The coral provided a barrier of sorts, and, taking advantage of this, WICKED continued to rest.

@WICKED: The three foot wide coral felt protective and as a feast. The numerous small fish had attracted nearby shrimp and tiny crabs who fed on them. WICKED was not interested in eating them right now though, it had become tired from eating too much too fast already, and enjoyed the rest, watching the interactivity of the nearby species. Something nearby was different, however. Another slime had noticed it and had started to follow, but was intercepted by a crab who seemed to want a fight. Instead of obliging the crab, the other slime stretched itself and formed feathery wings, and darted up to the surface of the water.

@WICKED: The gentle rolling of the waves kept the slime comfortable and passive, watching the surrounding area. The water above splashed loudly, and it didn't seem to be part of the wave movement. As soon as the noise was heard, a brightly colored circular thing dropped down, with something floating above it. The brightly colored thing was overhead and in front of WICKED. Looking at it, it saw the finned slime, also on the sea floor and very nearby, looking at the thing.

He gets to the pier and tosses the duffel bag off the pier towards an underwater post, but it doesn't break. So he picks up a rock and throws it at the jar, which has the effect he desired.

RAWR36 sank like a log under the water, before bobbing to the surface. It bubbled, like making coughing sounds. Then, it was caught by a dolphin that had jumped out of the water. RAWR36 took a deep breath and began digesting the dolphin. It was tedious, but somehow the dolphin shook free and it fell into the water. Then, it spotted new prey- a lionfish. It lunged forward and injested it. Soon the lionfish was gone and the slime yawned, slithering back to shore.

RAWR36 burped, before noticing the mass that was rolling on the seabed. It was another mass of slime. Friend...thought the blob. It flopped and fluttered to the bottom, noticng the crab snapping at it.

@RAWR36: OOC: (I’m thinkin you ate enough of that dolphin to unlock it’s body but not kill it, so it’s unlocked. Also unlocked: lionfish, amphibious gills, grow additional 6 inches)
As RAWR36 went left, the crab went left. When the slime went right, the crab went right. If RAWR36 went forward, the crab snapped its claws at it. The other slime rolled along with a fish stuck in it, the fish periodically flapping about in attempt to free itself, making the slime halt its advance when it did so. The fight against the dolphin had taken its toll on the slime, making it lose a little energy from exhaustion. RAWR36 decided that if it wanted to catch up with the other slime, it had better do so as fast as it could while it could still do so with little effort.

RAWR36 grew a pair of feathery fins and bobbed out to the surface. It had gills now so it could hapilly survive under water.

@RAWR36: The crab backed off, not knowing what to do when your wings formed. The other slime had seemed to fall asleep in a small coral bed, which seemed to be out-of-place for the area, probably harvested illegally and dumped at the last moment. The surface of the water brought in a small wave, full of kelp.

Wings. RAWR36 dipped back into the water and finished the crab off. What a feast. It saw the kelp and watched them bob over it. The friend seemed tired, and it swam over to the coral to say hi. Now it had a bottle-nose snout and two dolphin eyes, coated with the rubbery lionfish film.

@RAWR36: Just as RAWR36 got up to the other slime resting in the coral, an annoying splash sounded directly overhead. What it was, it had no idea, but it was brightly colored and very distracting. Some of the color flashed in the light above, making it that much more tantalizing. Something in the slime's mind told it that this thing was dangerous, but also yummy. It seemed that the other slime noticed it too, but it didn't look nervous.

RAWR36 used its new snout to echolate at the funny-looking slush. It glanced at the other slime with its new eyes and then proceeded to gobble it up. It felt strange, but it caught half in its fins and swam down to offer it to the other slime. The gills near its fins had now grown fully.

@RAWR36: (OOC: I don't really want you to have full echolocation yet. Also your post confuses me.. use echolocation on the slime, then try to eat the slime, and bring some of the slime to the slime? Please help me out)

((I didn't eat the other one on the coral, instead having the crab and the weird blob on the surface. And why no?   ))

@RAWR36: RAWR36 tried pulling on the thing that splashed down, whatever it was. It thought it had caught it and was going back underwater, but it felt a very strong yank pulling it upwards! The more the slime pulled, the stronger the pull became. If RAWR36 tried to rest, it didn't make the pull weaken at all.

"?" The slime grabbed the bait and felt something new on it. Growling, it skipped out of the water and straight for the fisher. It went for the head, ignoring the futile flailing of the man. When it was sure the man was a goner, it began some digesting.

@RAWR36: (Unlocked: neon orange skin color, neon green skin color, grow three inches in size)
Luckily for RAWR36, the human fisher was nothing but a child, using fishing bait his father set up for him. His dad's fishing poles were nearby but without bait, the tackle box closed and locked. There was no one else in the area, the late evening wearing on without sign of the parent made the slime wonder if the kid had been abandoned. How did RAWR36 know this? After absorbing some of the child's brain, some of his memories had passed to the slime as well as the ability to understand the English language. The slime could not speak it, but if heard, it would know what was being said, or at least understand as far as the child would have been able to comprehend. The slime had completely absorbed the abandoned boy's head, the remainder of the body had yet to be touched, if that was even the plan.

((I ate a crab! X.X))
The slime flopped onto shore, looking around for any food. The dark eyes betrayed no sign of weakness. It was simple, yet it felt some level of empathy for the poor child. It felt its fins wiggle and change, slowly becoming stubbly webbed feet. It also grew a tail.

OOC @ Dracoon: I didn't unlock any legs for you yet, nor did I unlock the echolocation you said you used previous. I can let everyone slide with certain things, but not growing parts or abilities you don't have unlocked. I'm going to have to ask you to remove that post where you said you grew legs, because that isn't possible for you right now. The tail is okay though. Which one you going for? Lionfish or Dolphin? According to my notes (which may be flawed I admit) those are the ones you got available right now. I will unlock exoskeleton and crab legs for you right now, though, so you can grow those legs.

((@Viirin: I want a dolphin tail.))
RAWR36 scuttled on its new legs, snapping its pinchers with pride. It noticed the seagulls that were scavenging and did an inner cringe. One of the child's memories had been having his cap nicked by one, and the last thing this slime wanted was to be eaten by them.

@RAWR36: It was getting late in the evening, and RAWR36 noticed the seagulls beginning to depart the area to go to sleep. RAWR36 wasn't tired yet though. Something shiny glittered in the sand on the beach, but it was a dozen feet away or so, too far to tell exactly what it was. A wave crashed under the pier, salt water splashing on the crabby slime.

RAWR36 scuttled to the shell. It poked it with its pincher and realised it was harmless. As quickly as it could, it began to ingest it. When done, it grew some shaaggy coconut fur over its body for self-protection. After eating it it began to scuttle towards the suburb. When it found itself insside a drain, it closed its eyes and fell asleep.

@RAWR36: (Unlocked: Calcite shell)
The smell of the sewer's garbage was easily overpowered by the smell of the salty sea, permeating everything. RAWR36 continued sleeping soundly, the coolness and moisture of the sewer felt comfortable.

((I grabbed the cat's paw with one pincher and began digesting. As the cat trashed it got digested faster.))

OOC @ Dracoon: But you can't digest through your claws because you aren't slimy anymore, you grew the coconut fur.

((on my back! It was on my back, so my hands are still slimy!))

@RAWR36: (Unlocked: Fur)
The cat's paw had been digested, but the thrashing, surprised cat leapt in the air as soon as it could, realizing it was being eaten alive. It turned and ran on its remaining three limbs, a trail of blood betraying its escape trail, but only until the stream of water made the possibility of following it further impossible. Which direction it went in the branching sewer pipes, RAWR36 had no idea, and probably wouldn't get one. Garbage was lightly spread out all over the place, the daily high tide's water ensured that it would never get too full.

RAWR36 sighed and snuggled up near some tash. It tasted a styrofoam box but was put off by its odd smell. Eventually it found a cockroach and ate it, enjoying it thoroughly. It also ate an apple core and put a banana peel on its head like an odd-looking hat. The child it ate had a hat too. The fish-looking slime heard a squeak and some dfferent noises. More friends?

@RAWR36: Whatever had made the squeak was too far away to know what it really was, but from the same direction, it sounded like labored breathing and a light scratching noise. It wasn't too far away, only just around the turn in the pipe but it still couldn't be seen from where it was.

RAWR36 scuttled towards the sound excitedly. It turned out to be a small dog who had its paw trapped between two pipes. The fish-looking slime licked its snout and devoured the trapped dog, savouring the new taste. Adjusting the 'hat' and attaching it around its neck with some string, it flopped further inside the sewage system.

Dracoon: I require you to stop deciding everything for yourself. Dogs do not squeak. It was a rat, and rabid. That's why it was scratching, because it was twitching and foaming at the mouth. The 'labored breathing' was it hyperventilating. Everything in existence is not an easy meal.
Since you decided it was a trapped dog, I guess I have no choice in this post but to allow it being a puppy. Remember you are only a foot long, eating a 2 1/2 - 4 foot long dog is just not happening in one go. The dog is rabid, and you have rabies now, which is getting worse by the minute.

((Whimper?   And I had no idea it was rabies or whatever, I'm not very prolific in rabies. Concrete jungle kid.   ))
The moment it finished eating, RAWR36 coughed. There was something seriously wrong with the dog it had just consumed. The fish-looking slime stopped, panting. It felt dizzy, and leant against some trash bags.

@RAWR36: The dog's head was eaten, but attacking the brain made the disease the dog was carrying spread through the fishy slime that much quicker. The rest of the dog lay there, headless, bloody, and disease-ridden. Maggots crawled in and out of the dog's skin over its kidneys, showing that there was even more wrong with the dog than the slime had thought! Ignoring everything else, something in the front of the slime's mind told it to find some medicine, and do it right away. The kid it ate knew that there was a store near the entrance the slime entered the sewer at, and no one would be there right now so the slime knew it could try and get there safely and without being seen if it hurried.

RAWR36 quickly made a beeline for the store. It opened the cover and scuttled to the store, entering through an ajar back door. There was a lot of different containers, but which was the one it needed? It felt its vision turn blurry and knew it needed to hurry up before it was found.

OOC @ dracoon: Um, you're going way, way too fast again.
First you have to go to the exit of the sewer where you came in.
Then go towards the store.
Then try to find a way in.
Then figure out what medicines you're looking at and see if you even know what medicine you're trying to find.
In between or during each of those actions, something might happen. By going so quickly, all the story is removed and I'd really like to make this enjoyable, not just for you, but me too. If you keep blasting through events then I can't let you keep going.

Please slow down   I do like your picture! I was thinking you might look a little over-complicated, but seeing how you envision yourself, it works just fine.

@RAWR36: The fishy slime had gotten to the sewer entrance it came in, and more debris had fallen in since then, making a pile. Climbing up the pile of garbage was much easier than it was when it first came in. As it traveled to get there, it had been periodically hearing loud noises outside, and as it got closer to the exit, when it heard the sounds, they were much louder. There was a lot of light outside, but the lights quickly went away almost as fast as they appeared, with a large amount of wind pushing against the slime after the white lights had passed, with only red lights quickly vanishing into the distance afterward.

The scientist gets bored and picks up the last jar, hefting it in his hand. He gets back in his car and drives as quick as he can, and throws the last jar, "3R8-74" against a tree, shattering it.

The slime fell down onto the ground near an antbed. It oozed over to it and began smothering the ants. After a large portion of the ants were dead, it started absorbing them. However, the remaining ants began attacking it, then the queen climbed out, and started to attack it. Seeing such a prize within it's grasp, it oozed over and slapped it, sending it flying off the antbed. It then oozed over to find it on it's back trying to get up. Then it oozed on top of it and smothered it, then absorbed it.

3R8-74 oozed away from the antbed, hunger satisfied. A rattlesnake slithered over in it's direction, and 3R8-74 oozed over to it. It quickly began smothering the snake, and had it's head within it's body. Soon the rattlesnake was dead, and the slime began absorbing it, after about 15 minutes, it had it completely absorbed.

@ 3R8-74: OOC: (Unlocked: Wyrm silhouette, scales, rattle, brown, red (from ants), grow additional 6 inches)
3R8-74 began to feel strange, as though it was being watched. By what and from where it had no idea. A sudden gust of wind had picked up, encouraging the slime to move towards a nearby tree for protection against the strong wind. A hawk screamed overhead and flew away, sounding as though it had become wounded but it did not make sense that the breeze would have caused it.

3R8-74 was jiggling from the breeze, but oozed onward. It came across a blue colored beetle and attacked it, smothering it. Then it absorbed the beetle. It oozed over to the tree where the beetle was and tried to climb it, but couldn't. So it oozed over to a small pond and sat at the edge.

@3R8-74: (OOC: Unlock: wing guards- the exoskeletal plates that protect a beetle's wings)
348-74 noticed something. Instead of the body of water being a pond, it was actually just a large puddle of old rainfall that had become stagnant, and had become infested with mosquitoes and their larvae.

Overpopulated thought 3R8-74, oozing over to the puddle and absorbing the mosquitoes and the larvea. After a full meal, It felt very strange. Suddenly it started growing rapidly. It grew a mouth, wing guards, and legs. Then it continued onward.

3R8-74 looked up at the other creature, then clicked it's wing guards together and cocked it's head. Another one of my kind... it thought, moving closer. It poked the creature with one of it's legs. ? It was confused at how the other creature could do that.

@3R8-74: The scaley slime in front of 3R8-74 had made a strange sound that it didn't understand, but whatever it was trying to say didn't matter. It didn't seem to want to attack it or it already would have.

3R8-74 didn't understand, but decided to ignore the other creature for now, it had better things to do. It decided to try to make itself grow. It focused really hard, and grew mandibles. Then it saw the rabbit. hrmm... maybe I can make a partner... it thought, crawling over to the rabbit and eating part of it, then moving the other half over to the other creature. It pushed the remains towards it.

3R8-74 clicked it's wing guards and pushed the half rabbit closer. It then saw another beetle, trying to fly. It had been wounded, so 3R8-74 crawled over to it and bit it's wing off, then ate the rest of it. Then it scuttled over to the other creature and clicked it's wing guards together, then tried to show it how to eat. It bit the rabbit and chewed very slowly, then swollowed.

3R8-74 clicked happily. Then it walked over to a bush and spotted a pool full of tadpoles. It ate a bunch of them, then burped. Then it killed a few and brought them to it's new friend. "Click! click! click!"

3R8-74 turned it's head after DRA71T finished eating, motioning for it to follow. Then it walked a short distance away, and turned around. "Click! click! click!" It cocked it's head, then jumped. It motioned DRA71T to follow one last time, then turned around and kept walking.

@3R8-74: (Unlock: White, fur, rabbit body, Ability: grow body parts easier)
The snake lunged from its hole, biting the slime, then it pulled its whole body out of the nest, and began to wrap part of itself around it, holding its wing guards down. Though it was unintentional, it couldn't make any more noise until it gets free!

3R8-74 turned it's head to see DRA71T following. Good, it understands. "Click!" It turned forward and kept walking. After walking for some time, it found a hole. It went inside, and was surprise-attacked by a garden snake. "Click click click!!!" It desprately tried to call it's companion for help.

The snake let go when DRA71T shot it with a web. 3R8-74 backed off, then jumped it, ready this time. It bit the snake and then dodged the counterattack. Then it bit the snake again, and critically wounded it. 3R8-74 then ate half the snake, recovering from it's wounds, then it dragged the rest of the snake's body over to DRA71T, and noticed it's friend was wounded. "Click!" It circled the creature, then clicked again.

3R8-74 clicked and cocked it's head. Then it jumped when it noticed the needle in DRA71T's body. It grabbed it in it's mandibles and yanked it out. "Click!"

@3R8-74: (OOC: If you didn't unlock 'snake body', you did now, as well as scales and the garter snake's color pattern)
3R8-74 wondered what the heck DRA71T had done. What was that stuff it shot out? What's more, how could it have ignored so much spiky things in it, and where had they come from? Maybe it didn't notice because it was trying to help it and ignored everything else. The snakey creature saw something move, but it was just the three pointed leaves blowing in a small breeze.

"Click!" 3R8-74 fell over when the needles struck it. There was no way it could pull out that many needles. It didn't know what to do. "Click!" It looked at DRA71T for help, but it looked like it was still hurt, too. So 3R8-74 crawled into it's newly conquered nest and collapsed. What is wrong with me??? It thought, trying to get up.

3R8-74 noticed what it's friend was doing, and tried to pull out a few of the needles. After about the third needle, the poison got to it, and it's vision started to blurr. "Click..." It tried to crawl deeper into its hole, and it's belly dragged along the floor. Some of the needles were brushed off. "Click!" Then it got to weak to move.

@3R8-74: I wasn't trying to say you adopted the snake's body, just that you oozed over it and were eating it, but instead of pulling it in, just smother it and absorb as much as you were eating all at once.

@3R8-74: The poison in 3R8-74 spread in its body, paralyzing most of it except for its wing guards; though lack of energy made frequent use of them impossible. The needles that were not brushed away or plucked worked themselves inward... !?!?! A spark of something deep in the slime's mind was telling it something... absorb.

(Oh, so until I change my skin type, I can absorb AND eat things. Cool! Can I get bug wings and an exoskeloton yet? also, the question i've been dying to ask, are we required to become a dragon in the end?)

3R8-74 absorbed the needles, then acually started to feel better. But it was tired. It decided to let it's friend know that it was okay. "Click click!!!" Then it walked over to it's friend, who was going after a leaf. It figured DRA71T could take care of itself, so it went deep into it's hole to get some shut-eye.

3R8-74 woke up, slowly opening it's eyes. It stood up and shook itself, then noticed DRA71T sitting nearby. "Click!" It walked out, and noticed another rattlesnake eating a rat. intruder It thought. "Click! Click!" It tried to warn the snake that it was tresspassing, and snapped it's mandibles.

3R8-74 flicked it's forked toungue and snapped it's mandibles again. Then it walked closer to the snake. It then noticed it's friend, and looked back at the snake, ignoring DRA71T. "Click! Click!" It snapped it's mandibles yet again, walking closer. The snake hissed, then attacked 3R8-74. The slime bit the snake several times, but the snake didn't loosen it's grip. It started injecting poison. Fortunatly, 3R8-74 knew how to deal with the poison, and began digesting the fangs. Then the snake let go, and 3R8-74 bit the snake again, but the snake wasn't backing off. Then the poison started taking effect. In one last desperate attempt to get rid of the intruder, it clamped onto the snake's head, and started pulling. Soon the snake was decapitated. Then 3R8-74 ate the snake's head, and gulped it down. Then it felt better, and trotted off with the remainder of the snake, like a dog with a new toy. It stored the snake in a deep section of it's hole.

@3R8-74: (Unlocked: stinging nettle poison, resist natural poison, stinging nettle spines (0.5% cost), fling spines, rattlesnake venom)
After a nice rest, all of the pain from the poison was gone. 3R8-74 thought that using an attack like that might be able to hurt its prey just as badly as it was hurt. The rattlesnake eating a mouse was distracting and angering, being much too close to the hole it had taken over.

3R8-74 walked out of it's hole, spotting DRA71T. "Click!" It's fangs felt weird. It wondered what happened, but it shook it off and looked up. The sky was darkening, and it felt very tired. So it walked back into it's hole, and curled up. Soon it was fast asleep.

3R8-74 had barely fallen asleep when a very high pitched scream pierced the darkness. What was that sound outside? It had no idea, maybe it was imagined. DRA71T was very groggy...

3R8-74 woke up, and stood. After a rest, It felt like adding something. It grew scales, and stinging nettle thorns. Then it shook it's scales. "Click!" It was excited that it could now make the same sound as it's friend. It walked out of it's hole and saw DRA71T shaking it's scales, and repeated the sound. Then it walked over to the glowing creatures, and jumped at them, snapping it's mandibles. It couldn't reach them however, so it thought about the sound that woke it up. Could it be that bird? Or maybe something else?

@3R8-74: Some tiny glowing orbs danced around in 3R8-74's face, pretty but also annoying. Something close by moved in the brush, but before 3R8-74 could tell what it is or even investigate, a small white bird, small enough to have just learned to fly, swooped down to catch it first. The bird was clumsy and had caught itself in the tangles of the undergrowth, whatever it tried attacking had gotten away in the opposite direction of 3R8-74.

3R8-74 saw the bird fly into the bush, and it's stomach growled, so it walked over to the bush, and noticed something odd about the bird. It wasn't wounded, but acted like it was hurt or uncomfortable about something. It's sick! 3R8-74 realized. It acted on it's programming and ate the bird.

@3R8-74: (Unlocked: owl body, white, blue, exoskeleton, feathers)
As soon as 3R8-74 ate the sick bird, it started to feel sick. The owl had eaten some of the blue beetles that 3R8-74 found earlier, which hadn't been digested yet. But eating the bird was hard to do, since the thorned slime couldn't stop coughing while it tried ripping the bird apart to eat it. About three quarters of the bird was eaten, when it couldn't eat another bite due to excessive coughing and lack of energy from the disease the bird carried.

3R8-74 couldn't eat anymore of the bird, so it dragged it off. It made it to it's hole, and dragged the bird remains in, putting it next to the rattlesnake remains. Then it tried to think of something to help with the cough. It didn't have much luck, and was very very tired from the illness, so it tried to go to sleep.

@3R8-74: 3R8-74 had not initially noticed, but as it dragged the owl's remains into its food cache, the body had disrupted the web of a couple large spiders, which was still on the bird. It had become aggressive, and bit the thorny slime. 3R8-74 still had some energy, but not much.

3R8-74 shook it's scales and snapped it's mandibles. Then it grabbed the spider's head in it's mandibles and ripped it off. It tossed the bodyless head into the air, and caught it with it's snake mouth, eating it. Then it finished storing the half-eaten owl. Finally, it collapsed from exhaustion.

@3R8-74 (Unlocked: Spider web, Save Point)
PUSH. The idea echoed in 3R8-74's mind, but it didn't have the strength. RESCUE. It didn't know what it meant. A large lumpy feeling was welling up in the strange creature's rear underbelly. LAST CHANCE. The lump pushed itself backwards, and passed out of 3R8-74's body. SAFE.
